Scene Study (Adult) - Morning

As actors, many elements of the industry are out of our control. How can we stay proactive? By keeping our demo materials up to date, sharpening our performing skills, and ensuring we never lose our sense of play. SCENE STUDY was crafted to help actors dive deep into a variety of material, connect with other performers, and explore roles for which they’re not typically seen. Every week, new sides are provided, with fresh challenges to tackle. After a week with the material, the scenes are recorded and feedback provided. The very last class is dedicated to the filming of demo scenes, and actors will be sent a high-quality recording of their material. This recurring scene study class, run by respected professionals working in the industry, will help keep actors on their toes and ready for their next audition. Scripts are provided. Curriculum: Week 1: Introduction. Everyone in class is assigned a scene, and paired up with a partner. Week 2: The Week 1 scripts are recorded multiple times, with feedback provided after each take. Participants receive new sides and a new scene partner. Week 3: Week 2 scenes are recorded. Demo material is provided, and participants are paired up again. Week 4: The demo scene is recorded. Participants are emailed their high-quality material after the class, along with all scenes recorded throughout the workshop.
